But how do these speeds stack up to the Big Guys? GVTC strives to deliver the absolute best communication services to our customers, which is why at the beginning of 2019, we unleashed our new fiber speeds starting up to 250 Mbps download and upload. But how do these speeds stack up to the Big Guys? ## Lightning Speed Before making up your mind about which ISP to invite into your home, we encourage you to compare all of your options. As a starting point, let's check out current internet offerings between GVTC, Spectrum, and AT&T. Making a valiant effort, [Spectrum](https://buy.spectrum.com/buyflow/store-front) currently offers minimum internet speeds of 200 Mbps for $44.99/mo. [AT&T](https://www.attsavings.com/internet) comes in with half the speeds of up to 100 Mbps for $40/mo. And then there's GVTC who kicked off 2019 by increasing minimum fiber speeds up to 250 Mbps download/upload starting at $49.95/mo. GVTC went even further to offer higher speeds that double in download speeds as you upgrade your plan to 500 Mbps/250 Mbps and 1 Gbps/250 Mbps. From bingeing GoT to hosting an at-home business, GVTC's fiber speeds cater to all types of home demands with the right price tag. ## Just Ask Netflix If you're still on the fence, though, we understand. It can be a bit difficult to believe that a local company like GVTC outperforms the Big Guys—not just in Texas but nationwide. But if you won't take our word for it, just ask Netflix! After holding the #2 ranking nationwide, GVTC is now ranked #1 **nationally** on the Netflix ISP Index for fastest fiber internet performance during prime-time hours. So, relax and pick your next binge-worthy show because, at the end of the day, the best kind of internet is the kind of internet you can rely on. Loading times? No thanks, we'll leave those to the other guys. ## Care Like a Local On top of rolling with the best of 'em—or rather, blazing past them—GVTC offers more than just reliable services. Everything we do is meant to enhance the quality of life in our communities, whether through the services we offer or the neighboring nonprofits we partner with. We focus our time, money, and effort into giving back to the very community we serve. The GVTC Foundation, GVTC's philanthropic arm, was established in 2006 by CEO Ritchie Sorrells to complete GVTC's mission to support and be a part of the community. It's donated more than $3.4 million to local nonprofits in support of charitable projects, scholarship opportunities, and grants, with no plans of stopping. See, while bigger sometimes means better, size isn't the final say. We work here. We live here. We give here. And we're blazing a new path for internet providers everywhere to follow.
