GVTC's 2022 Milestones

As a local company, we can give what the others can’t. We care about the community and are always looking to provide the best value in communication services to our customers. Looking back at the goals for this year, I'm proud to say that GVTC not only delivered on this promise but also paved the path for future innovation and success with three main initiatives.

Connecting the Community

Our first initiative was Broadband and Beyond. We focused on creating more value-added services, including  connectHome® smart security and cable TV. To improve the customer experience, we also launched new residential pricing for 500 Mbps & 1 Gig fiber internet service in September. As a result, we have added over 1,700 broadband customers year to date, and we have had over 14,000 customers download our Premium WiFi App!

Our second initiative involved product enhancements. We are committed to providing our customers with leading-edge technologies, and we continue to look for ways to upgrade our products and create more value for our consumers. We added the Arlo DIY option to our connectHome® smart security products and have more new products coming in 2023! Be on the lookout because we are so excited to share them with you all!

Finally, our third priority was to promote employee development. At GVTC, our success involves attracting and retaining talented employees. In doing so, we continue to grow our Fiercely Loyal Customers. Our employees are the heart of GVTC, and we must continue to preserve the family culture we have worked so hard to create.

Making a Difference

The GVTC Foundation is the philanthropic arm of GVTC Communications dedicated to building and supporting stronger communities throughout our service area. The Foundation is 100% operated by employee volunteers, with support and contributions coming from donors, employees, GVTC, and the GVTC Board of Directors.

The GVTC Foundation has donated more than $5.5 million to local nonprofits in our service area since its inception. GVTC employees have also donated a lot of their time and reached into their own pockets during our annual employee pledge drive.

Thanks to the partnerships of GVTC vendors and community sponsors, we were able to raise over $247,000 from our 2022 GVTC Charitable Golf Classic. $.98 of every dollar is distributed back into our local communities. And even more outstanding was the outpour of support for this year's Thanksgiving Giveback Project; in our 10th year, The GVTC Foundation packaged and delivered a record-breaking 616 Thanksgiving meals to families in need throughout GVTC's service area.

Our customers are also supporting the GVTC Foundation's mission by participating in our Round Up for Change program. By rounding up your monthly bill, you allowed us to turn your spare change into an additional $55,000 for The GVTC Foundation in 2022.

With your support, The GVTC Foundation can continue making a profound difference in the communities we serve. Through individual monetary donations, bequeathments, memorials for a loved one, or participating in the Round Up for Change program, you can help us support over 100 nonprofits, schools, and businesses in our service area.
