The GVTC Foundation Provides Relief after Winter Storm

VolunteersWe were all challenged by the events that took place during the winter storm. Some of our neighbors were hit harder than others, but one thing we learned is how much kindness and compassion during tough times can uplift those in need.

The GVTC Foundation knew our community was suffering and had employees volunteer to donate their time. Our volunteers worked Saturday and Sunday after the storm ended to help organizations during their trying situations. The Foundation has also been working with multiple local nonprofits to provide meals, snacks, hygiene products and other necessities.

Sonia Aguillon, President of the GVTC Foundation, said, "We are here. When the community needs us, our volunteers don't hesitate to step in. Our help isn't defined during office hours. Our hands continue through nights and weekends. We keep in contact with our community partners who are very appreciative of what The GVTC Foundation does."

We are all in this together and will rise together. People working together in a strong community with a shared goal and common purpose can make the impossible possible.
