The GVTC Foundation had an amazing year, granting over 125 organizations more than $530,000 in monetary support! We also attended over 130 community events contributing over 14,000 volunteer hours to our nonprofit partners. In total, over 27,000 volunteer hours were contributed to the community. Thank you to all of our volunteers! The passion in each of these individuals is incredible. They possess servant’s hearts and are committed to making a difference.
The GVTC Foundation hosted our 10th annual Thanksgiving Give Back Project, which is our largest community event. We work to provide a complete, traditional Thanksgiving meal to families experiencing hardship in our community. Families are selected by local food pantries, and through our partnerships with youth groups, community organizations, schools, churches, and individuals, we work to collect food items and monetary donations. Meals are then hand-delivered, providing a personalized touch. Our goal was to provide for over 500 families. Thank you to everyone who participated in providing for 616 families.
Every spring, GVTC hosts The Annual GVTC Charitable Golf Classic. This is currently our only event fundraiser that benefits The GVTC Foundation. We were thrilled that The 2022 Annual GVTC Charitable Golf Classic, presented by On Trac, Inc, raised over $247,000! Of every dollar donated to the foundation, $0.98 is distributed to local nonprofits. Incredible, right?
We are so grateful for the support we receive from GVTC and its members. 87 % of GVTC Employees participate in the payroll deduction program, and 100% of the GVTC Directors contribute, all of which GVTC matches at 150%. Over 11% of GVTC Customers participate in the Round up for Change Program, which brings in thousands of dollars.
