GVTC Extends Pledge to Keep Americans Connected
GVTC understands the importance of ensuring customers have access to the Internet during the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic. GVTC first committed to the FCC’s “Keep America Connected Pledge" on March 23, 2020, to ensure every American had access to the internet. This effort was initially planned to run through May 31, 2020, however, in light of current events, it's clear that more work is still to be done.
We're proud to announce that GVTC is extending its pledge to Keep Americans Connected through June 30, 2020.
The pledge states:
Given the Coronavirus pandemic and its impact on American society, GVTC Communications pledges for the next 60 days to:
(1) Not terminate service to any residential or small business customers because of their inability to pay their bills due to the disruptions caused by the coronavirus pandemic;
(2) Waive any late fees that any residential or small business customers incur because of their economic circumstances related to the coronavirus pandemic; and
(3) Open its WiFi hotspots to any American who needs them.
We are working diligently to meet the spirit of the pledge and ensure that those customers that are financially impacted by the coronavirus have access to the Internet. We hope to alleviate some of the stress customers may experience during this difficult time.
