The GVTC Foundation 2024: Looking Back and Charging Forward!

At The GVTC Foundation, our mission is simple yet powerful: to make life better for the people and communities we’re proud to serve. Whether it's through supporting local nonprofits or showing up at community events, every dollar raised and every hour volunteered is a step toward a stronger, more connected community. And we couldn’t do it without you—our incredible supporters! Together, we’re building something amazing, and we’re so grateful to have you by our side on this journey.

Our Impact in 2024: Big Wins, Big Hearts

This past year, we made strides we’re incredibly proud of. The GVTC Foundation granted over 135 organizations more than $464,000 in support! We attended over 82 community events, pouring over 15,000 volunteer hours into our nonprofit partners. In total, our community received over 29,000 volunteer hours of dedicated service. Our volunteers' passion and commitment are endless—they are true heroes dedicated to transforming lives.

Celebrating the GVTC Charitable Golf Classic

Our Annual GVTC Charitable Golf Classic, presented by OnTrac, Inc., soared to new heights in 2024, raising an astonishing $270,200! This brings our all-time total to over $2.1 million, all aimed at making a difference in our communities. Huge thanks to our sponsors and business partners, who make this impact possible year after year. We’re excited to see what 2025’s event will bring!

A Season of Giving with the Thanksgiving Give Back Project

For the 12th year, our Thanksgiving Give Back Project served up joy to families in need. Partnering with local food pantries, we provided traditional Thanksgiving meals to families experiencing hardship. This year, we exceeded our goal of serving 518 families, bringing our total to 3,749 families since the project’s start. Thank you to everyone who helped deliver not only meals but also a warm holiday spirit.

Game Day 5K: Where Every Step Makes a Difference!

We held our 2nd Annual community fundraiser, The GVTC Foundation Game Day 5K, presented by Verbalocity, on October 5, 2024. With over 150 participants, we raised more than $18,000. Runners enjoyed a scenic route through Knibbe Ranch, followed by games, treats, and local beverages. Thanks to our sponsors, the Game Day 5K was a success, and we can’t wait to do it again in 2025! Stay tuned for all the details—you won’t want to miss it!

Honored and Recognized

Our efforts haven’t gone unnoticed. The GVTC Foundation was named Comal Education Foundation’s Partner of the Year. We were named Best Nonprofit in Best of Bulverde Spring Branch and were nominated for Nonprofit of the Year by the Boerne Chamber of Commerce. We were honored by the New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce as an NBGives award honoree, an initiative to recognize corporate philanthropy.
