Record-breaking Capital Credits Coming in 2020

Malicious Tagging on Facebook

Scammers know how much time people spend on Facebook, so that's where they use many of their tricks. Have you ever received a random direct message or timeline post on Facebook from an old "Friend" you haven't talked to since high school? Sometimes, it's genuine curiosity which leads them to reach out. However, more times than not, it's not them at all - but rather an online scammer trying to hack your device or account for information they can use against you. This is known as "malicious tagging."

Why Customers Receive a 1099-DIV for MDP

Last year, GVTC introduced the Member Dividend Program (MDP) to show our appreciation and commitment to active members. It was a big initiative that we believe our customers deserve and will benefit from for many years. GVTC and The GVTC Foundation Award $150K in 2020 Scholarships

In an effort to further support local communities, GVTC and The GVTC Foundation are awarding $150,000 in scholarships in 2020 to area students pursuing higher education. This week alone, The GVTC Foundation granted $50,000 of those funds to four graduating seniors in GVTC’s service area. Three students from Boerne ISD and one student from Comal ISD are the recipients of The GVTC Foundation’s 2020 Scholarships.

GVTC Set to Release Capital Credits

GVTC is a tax-exempt, member-owned Texas Cooperative, which means any revenues over and above its operating expenses are returned to its active members in the form of Capital Credits. These will be distributed in June 2020.
